A Mother’s Love

What is a mother’s love?
It’s the gentle breeze
That the floating feather
Dances upon
With grace and ease,
Before landing on the ground.

What is a mother’s love?
It’s the golden ray
From the warming sun
That feeds the fragile buds
On a spring day,
For a flower to bloom.

What is a mother’s love?
It’s the cooling stream
flowing through canyons
Of rock and evergreens
Creating a peaceful scene,
On a mountain landscape.

What is a mother’s love?
It’s the soft earth
Below the feet
Supporting and nurturing
Each day since birth,
Providing all that her child needs.
